I have been in the Real Estate Business all of my working career. After
graduating from college, I moved to Houston in 1981. I am married and have
two wonderful children. My best year in the Mortgage Industry was in 1993,
closing over $30 million (265 homes). Most of these transactions were handled
entirely over the telephone, making it very convenient for the families
involved. I specialize in larger, more complex residential loans. I attend
almost all closings, no matter where and when they occur.
While many loan consultants can place an "A" loan, I have built my reputation placing "A", "B", "C" and "D" loans. I have a passion for giving the best product and price available on any given day. A common misconception that prospective homeowners have is that mortgage brokers charge a premium over banks and other loan making institutions. In fact, my rates usually match or beat any other loan sources, since I provide loans at the wholesale level to each client.
Amcap Mortgage is approved with many of the best lenders coast to coast. This allows me to offer you the best price available on all given products. Since I refer many loans to these institutions, they work very hard with me to offer special lower rates and streamlined documentation for my clients. At the time of locking the loan, if the original quoted rate is not the lowest available at the time, the lending institution will either lower their rate, or I will move the loan to another source that will offer my client the best possible rate.
All of the loans that I quote are priced at O+1%. There are two sets of points in every deal. I always quote 0 discount +1% origination or less. Remember, unless someone else is paying for your discount, it's seldom best to pay for a discount rate.
